Sharing his insight of the digital scene with HighEnd, Twitter’s Country Industry Head for Indonesia & Malaysia Dwi Adriansah, affectionately called Ade, sheds a light on why it’s important to stay connected via the popular microblogging platform. “In Indonesia, everyone uses social media in different ways,” Ade explains. “On other platforms, there are ‘look at ME’ tendencies with all the selfies, the travel photos and the OOTDs. They come to Twitter with the mindset to discover new things in Indonesia and the world, consequentially driving the conversation and shaping the culture.“

With a catchy tagline ‘The Voice of Millennials and Gen Z, ’ IDN Times began running in 2014 as a result of a collaboration between two brothers, Winston and William Utomo, who wished to share news digitally in a more fitting approach to millennials, considering they’re holding the majority of internet user demographics. “It’s definitely easier if millennials are creating contents dedicated to other millennials,” he said, “We pride ourselves on our unique journalistic angle of presentation to the readers. It may be news that has been covered by other media companies, but we cover it from a different angle based on the who, the why, the how and many more.”
