Tod’s just announced that the next designer to collaborate in the “Tod’s Factory” project is none other than Alber Elbaz.
Last autumn, the Tod’s Factory project launched capsule collection by Alessandro Dell’Acqua. They plan to collaborate with leading designers throughout the year. This year, Tod’s is very pleased to announce their exclusive collaboration with Alber Elbaz, one of the world’s best designers.
After his exit from Lanvin in 2015, the designer has been absent from the world of fashion. Through Elbaz’s collection for Tod’s , his new creation will be revealed later this spring and marks his comeback to the fashion scene. Elbaz will be designing a capsule collection for Tod’s Factory accessories. Other than that, not much has been said about this collaboration, but we all can expect that he will bring his sense of modernity into the collection.
Let’s take a look back at Alber Elbaz’ iconic pieces since his first tenure at Lanvin to anticipate the iconic collaboration with Tod’s:
Fall 2002, Elbaz’s first collection for Lanvin.
Spring 2007, Elbaz took a futuristic approach in contrast to prior season's feminine looks.
Fall 2012, with the styling of statement necklaces to complete the look.
