When Music Meets Bar and Café

What happened when coffee, music, and cocktails meet in one point? ISMAYA Group knows the answer.

ISMAYA’s most celebrated coffee chain Djournal Coffee has something new for their beloved “Djournalists”. Since 2013, the brand has offered only the best for coffee enthusiasts, but right now they are more devoted in giving a whole sensory experience in enjoying food and beverages.

Taglined “Coffee by Day, Cocktails by Night”, Djournal House is open from 7AM to midnight on regular days offering an extensive list of coffee and cocktail menu all day long. The bar slash café is located at Jalan Gunawarman boxed in music store concept. There is a “music corner” in one side where vinyl, CDs, and merchandise are displayed. The corner can be magically turned into a mini stage for live music experience.

Moving to the center of the bar that looks like a hybrid of American diner and Italian coffee shop, the interior design fits both day and evening dining. On one side, there’s a glass box with a gigantic coffee roaster inside it, allowing guests to witness the crucial process in coffee-making from the outside. This is where their special blend is exclusively. Beside it is the storage room, where fresh coffee beans are let rest before entering the cupping room. The “journey” does not stop there. Guests can have a coffee-tasting session or latte art course in the cupping room with in-house barista.

If you take a look at the food menu, they have everything in place starting from All-Day Breakfast, Small Bites, to Mains; saving the time to pair with either cocktail or coffee. While you can pick Djournal’s extensive coffee menu on a drowsy day, you can consult with bartenders at the bar about their cocktail menu when the sun is setting. Our favorite is Djournal Negroni.

Djournal House is already open for around two weeks now, serving a fresh dining and music experience.
