The ground-breaking offline and online fashion market platform, Digital Fashion Week, was held for the first time in Indonesia for three-day straight, from 13-15 December 2017.

For those who are pretty late about the hype (which we highly doubt), Digital Fashion Week (DFW) is distinguished from other fashion fairs for using digital platform and technology collaboration to foster designers’ and labels’ works being presented.

First introduced in 2012, the adapted version of DFW empowers three Asian countries including Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as presenting 11 designers from both local and international scene on the runway.

Among all collections, we find our favorites and list them down as the best pick from the latest Digital Fashion Week. The designers include the owner of CHULAAP label Chu Suwannapha, Australian couture designer Betty Tran, and South African designer David Tlale.

CHU SUWANNAPHA

The Cape Town-based, Thai descent designer is known as the “Prince of Prints” for his bold, signature prints on his works. For his latest collection, Chu introduced the African touch through strong linear patterns, fauna prints, and knits in colors of nature.

BETTY TRAN

It is hard to mention the Perth-based designer without talking about tulles and ruffles. Her works always resonate on Victorian beauty and gracefulness. We just love how she mixed the conventional femininity with modern metallic touch.

DAVID TLALE

Tlale is by far the most avant-garde designer among those who join the event. He fuses neon, warm colors with see-through prints, feathers, and luminescent fabric—creating a combination of raw beauty and high-end execution.
