The renowned diva has come and successfully pleased the crowd in Indonesia after decades of waiting.

What can the famous diva Celine Marie Claudette Dion give to her awaiting fans in Jakarta? She redeemed it with world-class performance, gimmicks, and the vocal that stays the same from the day she rose to fame. In Sentul International Convention Center (SICC), in front of notable audiences including local singers and celebrity, she showed what it takes to stay in the game and be the best: quality.

Opening the concert with her 1993 hit Power of Love, Celine displayed the power of her voice, whilst owning the stage in her gold blazer—reminiscing her humble yet powerful performance in the clip. Showering the audiences with her 90’s and early 2000’s prominent hits like That’s The Way It Is, Because You Loved Me, To Love You More, and It’s All Coming Back To Me, the Canadian singer successfully transported them into the good ol’ days and joking about how some of the hits were released in the time when some of audiences had not been born yet.

Aside the old days, Celine showed her relevance in this modern era by singing Ashes from Deadpool 2 soundtrack. She also did Salsa dancing and singing along with her backing vocals to Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk. The concert went personal when Celine sang Recovering, where she admitted her struggle to cope with her late husband’s passing. Plus, she paid respect to her France roots by singing Por Que Tu M’Aimes Encore.

What’s the cherry on top? Titanic’s mega hit My Heart Will Go On. The sunken ship blockbuster song triumphantly brought her to surface of thousands of waving crowd during the closing. For a singer that had gone through decades of hardship and works, Celine proved that the power of love is not just a song to sing to.
