AccorHotel celebrates 25 years of presence in Indonesia by holding “Battle of the Chefs” at Food Exchange, Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square.
10 Executive Chefs divided in two teams are in the run for the award, following a popular cooking reality show contest judged by members of the media and influencers. Journalists and influencers from Greater Jakarta tasted each of the dishes and voted for the best team.
The Chefs, Nur Rahmat from Mercure Convention Center, Ancol - Jakarta, Luky Satriawan from Mercure Jakarta Cikini, Ronny from Mercure Jakarta Kota, Adik Wahyudi from Novotel Jakarta Gajah Mada and Mawan from Novotel Tangerang represent Blue Team. They are up against Agus Stiono from Mercure Jakarta Pantai Indah Kapuk, Billy Wicaksono from Mercure Jakarta Sabang, Noldy Herling from Mercure Jakarta Simatupang, Setiyanto from Mercure Serpong Alam Sutera and the host chef Arif Wicaksono from Novotel Jakarta Mangga Dua Square represent Red Team.
Preserving the Betawi delicacies has been the hotels’ life-long commitment as they welcome food enthusiasts from all around the world. This is the idea behind Betawi-inspired menus from both teams, including Asinan Jakarta, Ketoprak, Soto Betawi, Lontong Sayur Betawi, Laksa Ayam and everyone’s favorite Nasi Ulam. Desserts and beverages include traditional Bir Pletok and Es Sumsum, just to name a few.
