As Resort 2019 Fashion Shows are still going on in fashion capitals Paris, Milan, New York and London, there is a wide array of looks to go through and practically feast our eyes on. This year, it’s all about pastel shades and modern vintage.
This year, designers like Christian Dior, Emilio Pucci, Chanel, and Valentino dawned runways with their holiday or travel-based collections. From equestrian-inspired apparel to French seaside chic, there’s no doubt that this year’s collection is absolutely to die for. Here are some of HighEnd’s favorite looks from the Resort 2019 collection.
Dior
This year, Dior released a very unique and exquisite collection inspired by equestrian chic from some periods of time. Held inside Europe’s largest stable, this show was one we’ve been waiting for. With dark floral shades, chunky war boots, and belt accents, this collection reminds women to take risks in fashion while still looking effortlessly presentable. Modern vintage, anyone?
Tory Burch
Reportedly inspired by “The Little Prince,” Tory Burch’s Resort Collection beautifully mixes classic American summer style with French seaside chic. This collection screams shades of ivory, khaki, navy, and sea blue. It’s safe to say that their simple essentials like breezy dresses, peasant blouses, oversize knits, and sailor pants will complete your summer vacation needs. This collection is clean, minimalistic, and aesthetically pleasing.
Oscar de la Renta
Oscar de la Renta once again impressed fashionistas with their royal-inspired Resort collection. The designer recently dressed Her Royal Highness Meghan Markle’s mother for the royal wedding. Everything in this collection would be appropriate to wear for any wedding-related occasions. Pastel shades of pink, blue, and ivory accompanied modern dresses with hemline cuts and gorgeous embroidery. Such youthful and fresh looks.
Chanel
Chanel is notorious for their extravagant runway presentations and this year proved no different. Held at Paris’s Grand Palais with life-size ocean liner in the middle of it all, this show was one to watch. Berets, blazers, and tights scream effortlessly chic Parisian fashion. Chanel made bold fashion statements with their Sixties-inspired collection. These items included miniskirts, pastel-colored tights, tweed blazers, and Mary Jane shoes. Almost every look also came with a minimal-looking handbag, proving that accessories are a must-have item.
