The initiators, Heddy Kandou and Rizal Otoluwa, are two mavericks of beauty business who are planning to break through the ASEAN market in few years with their beauty technology under SamKim, which is the “double-coating” encapsulation of Vitamin C.
One of SamKim most valuable assets are their beauty ambassadors. They are Amelia Salim the successful businesswoman, Evelina Setiawan who thrives in the property business, Markus Henry from the entertainment industry, the cultural enchantress Sendy Yusuf, Ayu Mirah the eclectic fashion designer, Dodo the renowned makeup expert who is also appointed as SamKim’s official exclusive makeup artist, and the name that rings a familiar tune to Indonesian public, Ferry Salim.

Entering the realm of beauty is not a challenge for Rizal Otoluwa, the Owner and Company Director of SamKim. “We offer exclusive and one-of-a-kind products for everyone, and we are always endeavoring to come up with fresh innovations,” he mentioned.
Ferry Salim is the ace of all trades—an actor, an MC, a digital businessman, a UNICEF ambassador for the 13th year, as well as a loving husband and father of three. Even so, he always looks flawless. “Every morning I cleanse my face with facial foam, toner, apply essence and sunblock,” he shares his healthy skin secrets.

As a property expert and TV personality, Evelina is no stranger to long hours of makeup on her face. “Cleansing is the most important thing to keep your skin healthy. Having previously taken courses in Paris and worked with major cosmetics brands, he is certifiably skilled to front SamKim beauty classes, beauty demos, and promotions at SamKim’s counters.

As an activist, Sendy is busy campaigning social issues to many places. Her schedule makes beauty ritual a must. “At mature age, we focus on keeping the elasticity of our skin and protecting them from damage. I find daily essence, eye cream, and sun protection very important,” she concluded.
Young and fit, Markus is known for his exercise routine and choices of food to stay sharp. The TV presenter says that there is no excuse for skipping sleep, food, or exercise. Since his occupation requires outdoor activities most of the time, Markus finds sun protection cream essential.
AMELIA SALIM & AYU MIRAH SUARDHANA
Amelia is currently busy running her new art gallery in Surabaya when we met her. Even so, she frequently practices yoga to maintain her body-mind balance, mostly when she cannot get enough sleep. Along with that, Amelia told us that picking just the right skincare that fits our skin type is very important.
This month, fashion designer Ayu Mirah is launching her fashion project “Desember Ceria” (Spirits of December). Other than yoga and daily liquid intake, Ayu also pays attention to daily beauty ritual because at mature age, the skin needs higher dose of nutrition than younger people.
