With 50 years of history of reviving Batik Solo tradition, Batik Danar Hadi returns with new collection under the theme “Padma Caitra”.

Held in Gran Mahakam Hotel Jakarta on May 4 2018, the batik house proudly presented their latest collection in commemoration of Holy Month Ramadan. The name “Padma Caitra” itself means the symbol of “Holy Moon”, thus the name.

Working with Batik Danar Hadi, designer Yani Soemali is the creative brain behind this collection. The outfits include white-on-whites sewn from silk, making them an elegant fit for special occasions. The luxurious looks, as admitted by Batik Danar Hadi Managing Director Diana Santosa, aimed to promote national and traditional wear in important moments, including parties and gatherings.

The fashion show was even more special with exclusive exhibition of Santosa Doellah’s private collection. The batik house presented some of the best collection from the Founding Father of Batik Danar Hadi which reminisce the Solonese tradition from time to time.
