The Westin Jakarta is having a noteworthy culinary promotion called “Artisan Market” for you in its signature all-dining restaurant Seasonal Tastes.
It is a special collaboration with 5 top Indonesian local artisans such as Javara Culture, Rosalie Cheese, Microo Tempe, Pipiltin Cocoa, and Gelato Secrets. All of them will be used as main ingredients in the buffet offerings as a nod to the Indonesian culinary heritage.
Javara Culture
Founded by Herlianti Hilman, Javara Culture aims to keep indigenous food and culture alive in Indonesia. As of now it has been collaborating with more than 52,000 farmers who produce over 700 products like rice, noodles, Bali artisan salts, herbs, as well as spices.
Rosalie Cheese
Unlike mass-produced cheese, Rosalie Cheese produces natural Indonesian cheese made from farm fresh ingredients without preservatives and colorings. It uses traditional cheese making techniques and Indonesian milk (goat milk, mostly) which has a very unique twist on local flavors.
Microo Tempe
Some people might agree that tempe is kind of underrated. Promoting tempe as a healthy food from Indonesia cultural heritage, Microo Tempe uses only uses high-quality tempe made from local sustainable grown beans and is harvested only non-GMO (Genetically Modified Organism) ones.
Pipiltin Cocoa
Lucky for us, Indonesia has a wide variety of cocoa beans with unique flavors. The collections from Pipiltin Cocoa vary, consisting of cocoa beans originating from Pidie Jaya and Tabanan. The unique flavors can also be enjoyed together with the appetizing desserts provided at Pipiltin Cocoa.
Gelato Secrets
Gelato Secrets holds the values of using only 100% natural ingredients to ensure the best health benefits when eating gelato and sorbetto. To assure it has total control over the product quality, Gelato Secrets has been working together with local farmers to produce exceptional ingredients.
Artisan Market is available every day from November 21 to December 1 at Seasonal Tastes. During weekdays you can have lunch and dinner starting from Rp388.000,- and Rp408.000,- respectively. For weekend the price starts from Rp438.000,-. Prices are inclusive of soft drinks, beer, and flavored ice tea.
