It’s established that Missha’s Facial Treatment Essence is a dupe comparable to SK-II’s $179’s facial treatment essence that promises to target texture, firmness, wrinkle resilience, even skin tone, and radiance. These are the five dimensions SK-II claims to be the foundation of Ageless skin.
When Missha released a product that can achieve similar results with a fraction of the price, people were immediately drawn to the similar packaging and the fact that the visible skin results are extremely alike; some even claiming that Missha leaves their skin more moisturized.
SK-II’s star ingredient in their essence is the fermented ingredient PITERA, which they have trademarked. Although Missha does not have the ingredient in theirs, they contain Fissione - which comes from the same Saccharomyces family.

Missha’s Facial Treatment Essence has a longer ingredient list - but that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily bad for your skin. With licorice extract, chamomile, and niacinamide (to name a few), the essence also assists redness - perfect for those with hyperpigmentation and sensitive skin.
