To no one’s surprise, New York City is constantly evolving with new things see and do; making it a classic destination on any traveler’s wishlist.

A number of new buildings are popping up, while the older ones are receiving expansions. Some neighborhoods are undergoing major transformations by the day, and it’s always a thrilling experience to discover the next trendy spots in the city.

One of the most anticipated neighborhoods in New York City in 2019 is Hudson Yards. It is the largest private real estate development in the history of the United States, just neighboring the High Line and Javits Center. The area consists of more than 18 million sq ft of commercial and residential space, more than 100 shops, a collection of restaurants, approximately 4000 residences, a new center for artistic invention (The Shed), 14 acres of public open space and more.

The centerpiece of Hudson Yards Public Square and Gardens, Vessel, is slated for a March 2019 debut. Designed by British architect and designer Thomas Heatherwick, the 15-story Vessel will feature an impressive154 interconnecting flights of stairs and more than 2,500 individual steps with 80 landings.

For a bird’s-eye view of the city, The Observation Deck at Hudson Yards offers river-to-river panoramic views of the NYC skyline at 1296 feet in the sky. This deck, the highest outdoor observation deck in NYC, will be open in late 2019.

There will be no shortage of shopping and dining options at the Hudson Yards. It will be home to New York City’s first Neiman Marcus department store, and culinary delights include projects by celebrity chefs Thomas Keller, David Chang, José Andrés and more (expected to open in March 2019), in addition to nearby restaurant Legacy Records, by the team behind beloved restaurants Charlie Bird and Pasquale Jones.

Accommodation during your trip to the Hudson Yards will be a breeze with a brand-new Equinox Hotel and additional hotels opening near the new neighborhood including the Courtyard by Marriott in late 2018 and aloft New York Chelsea North next year.
