Bakti Budaya Djarum Foundation collaborated with celebrated designer Edward Hutabarat to promote traditional woven cloth lurik and share the story of lurik craftsmen in an exhibition titled “Tangan-Tangan Renta” (The Old Hands). This exhibition, curated by Jay Subiakto, featured photography, video, installation, and fashion showcase featuring lurik as part of Indonesia heritage.
A number of guests, including celebrities, designers, to humanitarians and fabric collectors joined the vogue parade. HighEnd captures their fashion statement in pictures for some indigenous fashion inspiration:
