In commemoration of Van Gogh’s 128th death anniversary this July, footwear brand Vans released a new capsule collection called Van Gogh X Vans.

Last year, Louis Vuitton released their classical art–themed collection that featured the paintings of Vincent van Gogh, who is arguably one of the most influential artists of all time. Now, the Vincent van Gogh Museum has partnered with Vans to create a blend of Vans’ iconic design with Van Gogh’s masterpieces.

Vans and the Vincent van Gogh Museum have selected four pieces of work for the collection, namely Skull, Almond Blossom, Sunflowers, and Van Gogh’s self-portrait. The purpose of the collaboration is to “make the life and work of Vincent van Gogh accessible to as many people as possible”, says Adrian Dönszelmann, Managing Director of the Van Gogh Museum. They are also looking to bring Van Gogh’s art into a set of new audience outside of the museum.

The collection will be available at Vans retail stores and online. It will also be available in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam and their website starting from August 3.
