Repaying debt to his awaited Indonesian fans, Ed Sheeran gave a stunning show that proves him one of the best singers today.

For Edward Christopher Sheeran, Divide World Tour 2019 Jakarta is his last Asia’s concert leg this year. However, for thousands of fans that had been waiting two years since his postponed show, the closing concert became one of beautiful memories of their idol. The concert that was brought by PK Entertaintment, Sound Rhythm, and AEG and it is surrounded by spark of lights, impressive stage concept, and fans’ voices echoing all around Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno.

The show was opened with such a high vibe from one of Japan’s finest modern rock bands, ONE OK ROCK. They successfully warmed up the concert through their songs such as ‘Deeper Deeper’ and ‘Wasted Night’. The opening show gave a good start to bring up the next surprises on the main show.

And yes, the surprise arrived when Ed gleefully greeted the audience and sang ‘Castle on The Hill’ and personally apologized for his tour cancelations earlier. He continued with ‘Eraser’, a song that opened his Divide album. The third song, ‘The A Team’ swoon the fans from his early indie days.

Things get crazier when the 28 year old singer brings his popular song that achieved triple platinum certification forward, ‘Thinking Out Loud’. The concert attendees sang the lyrics together, dismissing the fact that they came there because they had waited for Ed to sing the most in-demand local scene wedding song from the singer himself. It is safe to say, fans had forgotten his tour cancelation when they joyfully chanted the lyrics from ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Perfect’.

Bringing hit songs from his albums + (plus), X (multiply) and : (divide), Ed Sheeran had proven that he came as someone with something plus that had successfully multiplied the number of his fans while dividing his creations into different forms; without leaving his small town and humble singer image – without the minus.
