Selalu dinantikan, 76th Primetime Emmy Awards akhrinya rilis daftar lengkap nominasinya.
Pada hari Rabu (17/7), nominasi Primetime Emmy Awards ke-76 akhirnya diumumkan. Dari deretan nominasi tersebut, terlihat bahwa terdapat beberapa serial yang mendominasi. Mulai dari "Shogun", "The Bear", "Hacks", "Only Murders in the Building", hingga "Baby Reindeer", yang semuanya meraih banyak nominasi di kategori utama.
"The Bear" mendominasi kategori komedi dengan 23 nominasi, memecahkan rekor yang sebelumnya dipegang oleh "30 Rock" dengan 22 nominasi pada tahun 2009. Setelah menyapu bersih penghargaan utama di kategori komedi pada Emmy sebelumnya, "The Bear" kembali dengan kekuatan penuh dan siap untuk meraih lebih banyak penghargaan tahun ini.
Di kategori drama, "Shgun" tampil hadir di 25 nominasi, menjadi serial drama dengan nominasi terbanyak musim ini. Serial ini berhasil menarik perhatian kritikus dan penonton dengan ceritanya yang mendalam dan produksi yang luar biasa. Tidak ketinggalan, "Only Murders in the Building" dengan 21 nominasi, "True Detective: Night Country" dengan 19 nominasi, dan musim terakhir "The Crown" dengan 18 nominasi, menjadikan persaingan semakin ketat.
Sementara itu, untuk platform streaming, Netflix sekali lagi memimpin dengan 107 nominasi, FX mengikuti dengan 93 nominasi, sementara HBO mendapatkan 91 nominasi.
Tidak berhenti di situ, "The Morning Show" juga mencuri perhatian di kategori akting pendukung drama dengan tujuh nominasi, termasuk untuk Nicole Beharie, Greta Lee, Karen Pittman, Holland Taylor, Billy Crudup, Mark Duplass, dan Jon Hamm. Jon Hamm juga mendapatkan nominasi akting utama untuk perannya dalam "Fargo", menunjukkan kekuatan aktingnya yang serba bisa.
