Celebrating one of biggest Germany traditions, Paulaner Bräuhaus held the fifth Oktoberfest this year through unique Anstich tradition.
For the fifth time, the only Indonesia’s genuine microbrewery, Paulaner Bräuhaus, ran the Oktoberfest with barrel of beers, great live performances, and good food. The unique part of this event is that it is being celebrated in traditional ‘Anstich’ tradition, where the first liter of the specially brewed Oktoberfest Bier is being tapped by the only world’s brew master in Indonesia, Arie Susanto.
Just like in the previous years, the über-fest gets more authentic Bavarian touch through Germany’s own folk band, Edelweiss. They entertained guests all night long with traditional music, games, and favorite party’s song list. ‘This year’s Oktoberfest got merrier than last year, considering the inquiries from the lovers of this festival,” said Vinu John, Director of Food & Beverages Hotel Kempinski Indonesia.
Aside from the Munich-imported special brew beer, the festival also serves rounds of Paulaner’s hearty delicacies such as Hendln (roasted chicken), Schweinshaxen (pork knuckle), and mouth-watering variants of wurst. “The traditions of having our waiter and waitresses dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndl dresses while serving the festival notable cuisines became our highlights,’ add the director.
Held for four nights straight from 3 until 6 October, this year’s Paulaner Bräuhaus Oktoberfest is challenging all party-goers to keep pace through this festivity. With 800,000+++ IDR that includes food, free-flow Paulaner beer, and Oktoberfest Jakarta mug, all guests experienced the prideful tradition through the prost (cheers in Germany) in the only microbrewery restaurant in Indonesia.
