Here is what we forecast to be rising stars in Spring 2018 Bridal Season, starting from your dress, decoration, to catering trends.

DRESS

2018 will be the year for black and white. Set aside the hype of pastel colors and go for  bolder color. Make sure to keep the black color in the right proportion - either as a belt or bow. Other trends include the 1970's rebirth of classic low cut and off-shoulders. Yet, among all, the use of trousers are by far the strongest trend expected to come in 2018.

ACCESSORIES

Accessories will be seen as the part of the dress itself - something that drapes and shapes the gowns. The use of pearls to draw unconventional patterns are examples we saw on Naeem Khan and Monique Lhuiller bridal collection.

THEMATIC COLOR

Typically popular on younger cohorts, rose gold and copper remains the topper in terms of color pick. Either as accessories or set decoration, rose gold brings both the sense of friendliness and sophistication at once. This year, rose gold shades are associated to rustic-themed wedding. In 2018, the beautiful color is more expected to be combined with greeneries and flowers.

INVITATION

After few years of seeing pastels and rustic colors on wedding cards, 2018 will be the year of "new neutrals". Colder, paler shades of blue like will take over brown, grey, or whites as neutral picks.

DECORATION

Urban vintage is the one theme often mentioned by wedding vendors to rise in 2018. Combining romanticism with urban feasibility, couples will focus more on picking a personal, unexpected venue to tie the knot. Be it on a small building rooftop, inside a museum, or a botanical garden. As for evening parties, magical/enchanting decoration will be much preferable.

CATERING

In general, people prefer more private, personalized wedding reception than in the previous years. Same thing goes with their picks on food stations. Local fresh menus, signature cocktails, and other specialty delicacies like coffee start to gain more popularity.
