Schiaparelli gave us an interesting show on their Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2019 collection. This too, is the debut of the new Artistic Director, Daniel Roseberry, who was appointed in April 2019.
While others may just stay behind the stage, Daniel Roseberry sat at the center of the stage with his casual attire. It sets portrayed a picture of him working in a small studio under the Manhattan Bridge last December 2018. He swiftly moved his hands, sketching designs of the collection with the models parading and presenting his creativity around him.
While still holding reverence to the founder, he stated a fact that he made a slight difference in this collection’s references and only used one image as reference of the Schiaparelli’s design–a fragrance bottle–in this collection.
These are some of our top 5 looks from the show:
A long tailored coat with gold accent on the collar and the sleeve completed with brocade beige jumpsuit and black lace accent from the thighs. This look sure gives a vibe of elegance and luxury.
A white tux with black accent on the collar and pocket paired with embroidered silk and cotton jeans. This look gives a masculinity and strong vibe, but still with some elegance.
A two-piece dress with ladybug appliques covering all the way from the top piece to your head. Interesting!
A glamorous look with sequin gold cropped tank. The pink drape fabric looks like it is flowing following the wind. And the volume and silhouette? “Magnifique!” Is all we wanted to say.
The whole show ends with a bang. A model graces the runway in an all-white look from head to toe. The cloudlike draping of both the dress and the back-piece were complemented with cross earrings, bringing an interesting twist to the look.
