BMW Indonesia embarked on the new year with an exciting two-day driving event with the all-new BMW 7 series. HighEnd was thrilled to be a part of this exclusive, luxurious journey.
As expected from the leading premium manufacturer of automobiles, the all-new BMW 7 Series line-ups have met all the standards of a luxury vehicle. Vice President of Corporate Communications BMW Group Indonesia Jodie O’tania mentioned that the model has passed through numerous evolutions that have always been about meticulous care to detail. The design of the all-new BMW 7 Series showcases the vehicle’s authentic character in terms of processes, quality control and safety requirement. On the road, the luxury sedan gave an example of a well-being cosset for its passengers.
Congenial Extravagance of the 7 Series
BMW Indonesia has designed the event to be as luxurious as it is comfortable, characterized in its interior features that include generous level of space, a driver-focused cockpit design, a fusion of exquisite materials and precise craftsmanship, and also the sophisticated functionality of the control and display elements. Inside the all-new BMW 740Li Pure Excellence, the long-distant voyage seemed to flow like a breeze. It is fitted with Sky Lounge Panorama glass roof that gave an impression of an open-top vehicle. And when the night fell, the light emitted by LED modules that spread evenly throughout the glass surface created a magical effect of starlit sky.
The model is also the first BMW to feature an Active Air Stream Kidney Grille, including visible air flap control that not only gives a more eye-catching front-end appearance, but also contributes to tailor a high fuel efficiency of 17.2 km/liter consumption and environment-friendly CO2 emissions of 134 g/km, improving both proficiency and driving enjoyment. Another new edition to the model is its iDrive system’s BMW Gesture Control. The system allows a number of the vehicle’s functionality by only hand gestures and movement. Controlling audio and accepting telephone calls never looked so easily fashionable and intuitive.

Conquering West Java
Our journey across West Java was a balance of driving pleasure and an unmistakable aura of attention-stealer vehicles. Having both models’ features on hands, we cruised along the toll road and headed east to Cirebon with an escort of our own chauffer. BMW made sure that we were truly immersed in the beautiful scenery of West Java while relaxing in the rear seats, which are powered by two axle self-leveling Air Suspension.
