In parallel with special F&B issue of the magazine, HighEnd gathered inspiring trends surrounding restaurant designs.
The Mix of Co-working and Eating
Design company YAD.space recently completed MODJO restaurant in La Part-Dieu District of Lyon in France. The restaurant is one of first strategic projects for the renewal concept that serves culinary experience from creative brunch to business meal, as well as daytime healthy nutrients and comfort food. The place is built with several interconnecting wall-less rooms in a comfortable atmosphere.
Outdoor Dining Inside
A new restaurant in Chelsea called Bandol has opened with cuisine and interiors inspired by Provence. The design evokes outdoor dining in Provence – mixed with a strongly urban and contemporary feel. It delivers cuisine experience of rustic southern France with a stunningly warm and contemporary environment – featuring copper, distressed oak, steel, concrete, brick, smoked glass, and artful lighting.
Industrial Modernity
The rustic design seems to take up the trend lately; the world-renowned JOI-Design is no exception. JOI-Design established a harmony between outdoor landscape and industrial modernity of materials and palette when they created the restaurant in Wilde Ente, Germany. It combines rustic feels with refined, modern, yet timeless interiors.
Cook and Show
ResoLution Signature Restaurant in Croatia recently transformed a part of the restaurant space into a cooking kitchen. It will be used for exhibiting new techniques to chefs, cooking schools, and teambuilding activities. The open kitchen leaves an impression of a modern and cozy ‘home’ kitchen, despite its knotty-looking equipment.
